How to get rid of Other memory on my iPhone?

So, I already googled this, and I did everything it told me; I deleted apps, my history, bookmarks, messages, and stuff like that, but I still have Other memory. They also said to restore it, but I don't wanna lose my pictures. I also updated it, but it didn't remove the memory. Is there any other way?

Thank you.

Added (1). @chance I need the space, 'cause I've a lot of Björk and Blank Banshee songs, and I can't download them to my phone, 'cause Other is taking away the space.

It's probably the memory that the operating system uses by default.

Other memory would be software updates and the IOS. This stuff can't be removed. Why do you need it gone?

Download CMSecurity from the App Store (it's free). And run the file cleaner once. (It's safe) It probably won't pick up too much but run it again in one week and it should find more. If you are jailbroken get Icleaner and it will solve this problem instantly. If neither of these work, clear up old text messages, phone calls, calendar events, etc. If none of these help then the thing that will defininetly work is doing a restore. Backup before the restore then press restore as backup to get all your apps and settings back. Hope this helps! Ohh, one last thing, go to settings>Safari> and press delete history as well as cache.

  • I'm trying to get rid of Other on iPhone 5? I know this is a tired question because no one can figure out how to truly remove the (5GB in my case) excess of "other" on the iPhone because it apparently might be due to corrupted files. I've tried everything I can find online to no avail. I really don't want to resolve to starting a new phone because I need my current photos, contacts and messages. Any suggestions?
  • How to get rid of the other category in my iPhone's usage The "other" section is currently taking up 7.5GB of my iPhone's capacity (so ridiculous)! I've tried everything: deleting contacts, deleting conversations, deleting apps, and even RESTORING MY IPHONE. But it still is taking up basically half of my usage! Please someone tell me how I can get rid of, or at least drastically reduce, the "other" section.
