How to get rid of the Apple update from my iPhone 3GS?
I hate the update - it has made my phone unbearable. I recently got the 4GS and still have the 3 basically as an iPod - it still works for a few games when I'm connected to Wi-Fi.

Just update it over Wi-Fi.
The hardware on 3GS is 3 or 4 years old now, and too outdated to update the new OS… You should only upgrade the OS if you are on 4 or later.
