How to play minecraft online?

I haven't ever played it on the computer only on my iphone, but i was watching this guy play hunger games minecraft on youtube and i really want to play it online. How do i set it up? What do i do?

Go to minecraft.net and sign up. Its 80 dollars a month though

Go to multiplayer, then click add server. Go online and find a minecraft server address such as this: uberminecraft.com and thats all.

But they downgraded my phone all the way to 4.0.0 so I can't get ANYTHING and I love Minecraft wich is a 4.1.2 game. Is there any way I can get it without de jailbreaking my phone.
