How to put an iPhone 4 on silent with no vibrate?
In my history class, the teacher has us turn off our phones and put them in his box so we aren't tempted to text in class. I don't want to do this because I'm afraid someone will steal my phone, so I'm wondering how to put my phone on silent where it doesn't even vibrate so if it is in my bag, he won't know.
In settings select vibrate - off. Use the silent button next to the volume controls to turn off all sounds.
Unfortunately, that is impossible to put an iPhone 4 on Silent with no vibrate.
Settings>sounds>turn off vibrate on silent
You could use Do Not Disturb to do that.
- What's the difference between vibrate, silent, and muted volume when receiving calls? For the Iphone 4s. If I have my volume up (ie watching videos will tha make it ring.) Basically I don't want it to ring or vibrate, but I want it to have volume for other things.
- My iphone won't vibrate even though vibrate is turned on? I have an iPhone 3gs and it worked fine until I updated it (ios 6). My phone, when on silent mode, won't vibrate when I get a message. In settings, everything is turned on, the vibrate part is selected. When the button (above the volume) is not on silent and then is flicked down to silent (vibrate) mode, it vibrates. However, it does not vibrate when I receive a message? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!
- IPhone 4S: Ringtone (no vibrate) for calls; but vibrate (no sound) for texts? I just got a new iPhone 4S for my birthday. I want to set it so that, every time someone calls me, it plays a ringtone but doesn't vibrate. I also want to set it so that, every time I get a text, it just vibrates and doesn't play any sounds. How can I do this? Nothing I've tried works.
- How to tell if your iPhone 6 is on silent (or not on silent) without unlocking your phone? IIm just going to copy and paste the question here because it's pretty self explanatory but I didn't want to leave this blank! Is there a way to tell if your iPhone 6 is on silent (or not on silent) without unlocking your phone?
