How to put iPhone 4 on silent, not the silent switch?
The silent switch on my phone doesn't really work. I will slide it off and it will basically have a panic attack, switching back and forth between silent and normal volume, basically having the phone equivalent of epileptic seizures, vibrating randomly, until I turn the switch back to it's normal position.
This may be a really stupid question, but I was wondering if there was another way to turn it on silent. The lowest volume works in most situations, but the sound of my phone ringing makes me all nervous (not important, I just get nervous a about social contact and that is what I associate with my phone noises) and I'd like to keep it silent most of the time.
I went to the sound setting and I just can't figure it out.
Will I have to deal with it (getting it fixed isn't really an option right now), or is there something I can do to manually put it on silent.
Go to settings and it is under sounds, and turn the sound all the way down.
Or something else in sound settings.
- YouTube sound not working when iphone is on silent? I've had my iPhone 4 for over a year now, and I've never had this problem. It started today, if I try to watch a YouTube video without headphones and the phone is on silent, there's no audio. But if I turn the ringer on there's audio. Obviously I've looked at the volume levels, and they're up. Like i said its only started today and it's very frustrating!
- Would I be able to switch carriers without having to switch phones? I'm with Consumer Cellular and I have an iPhone SE, but I'm thinking of switching carriers so that I can get unlimited data. I don't want to get a new phone because I've had my current one about six months, I really like it, and it works great. I'm not locked into a contract with Consumer Cellular. Would I be able to switch to another carrier without having to purchase a new phone?
- Recently lost iPhone and is on silent mode. Will the Find My Phone alert ring or not? I've logged onto iCloud and sent my phone an alert, but my phone is on silent mode. I was wondering if the alert would ring regardless if its on silent mode or not.
- My silent switch isn't working? Ok so about a month I dropped my Iphone 4 and I cracked the back of my phone. It was fine until recently when I set my phone to silently it will start going from silent to sound while I'm typing and stuff… How can I fix it?
