I live in California. I posted an ad on craigslist for an iPhone(non working.) I got an offer from Delaware but not sure. Person wants to pay through Paypal. Is it safe? They only need my email address right? How do I do this? With send money
How do I receive money?
When someone sends you a payment through PayPal we'll notify you by email (or text message for payments sent to your mobile phone number).
If you already have a PayPal account and have confirmed your email address, we'll credit the payment to your PayPal account balance. If you don't have a PayPal account, you must sign up for one first and then confirm you own the registered email address before funds can be credited your account.
The received funds can then either be withdrawn to your UK bank account or used to pay for future purchases.
What are the fees for receiving money?
Receiving a personal payment (e.g.a gift from family) is free if the sender uses their PayPal balance or their bank as the payment method. If they use a credit or debit card there will be a small fee. The sender can decide to pay this or pass it on to you.

How long does it take to receive money?
If the sender uses their PayPal balance, a credit or debit card or an instant bank transfer, the money will be credited to your PayPal account balance instantly.
If the sender pays by eCheque, the money will be credited to your PayPal account after a clearing period of 5 - 7 business days.
What are the receiving limits?
We must comply with European Union regulations which require us to collect additional information about you before you receive more than £1, 900 into your PayPal account within a year of receiving your first payment.
To remove this limit, log into your PayPal account at www.paypal.co.uk and click on the 'View Limits' link on the 'Account Overview' Page.
