How to recover never received iMessages?

My uncle apparently sent me an iMessage yesterday thanking me for a painting I did for him but unfortunately my iMessage on my iPhone was switched off and I never got it. Is there any way I can recover it, because I really want to read it.

Well the way iMessage works is exclusively between Apple devices. So if yours was off, you would simply get the message as a regular text. However, I'm not sure why you didn't receive the message at all. Just ask your uncle to resend the message by holding the text bubble it's in and copying the text to a new message and sending the text as a new iMessage/text. Hope this helps!

  • Why is my Iphone not sending as Imessages and receiving iMessages from one person? I'm texting my wife and we both have iPhone's and she is getting the messages as an iMessage but the ones I'm sending her on my end show up at green. Sometime it will go as blue, get the little red exclamation point then send as regular SMS. I'm texting someone else too and she has an iPhone, and she is getting mine as regular iMessages and mine are sending as regular iMessages. Why aren't they sending to me wife as iMessages?
  • What should I do if I never received an item off ebay? My friend tried to buy an iphone off ebay, and paid but never received his phone. He emailed the seller who said they were out of stock and he would be refunded his money on his pay-pal account. He was never refunded his money. What should he do?
  • What does iphone mean when it says 879 MB sent and 4.6 GB received? I've just purchased a new iPhone and I'm still a bit new to understanding a couple terms. Anyway, I've read that to calculate data you have to add the two (sent and received) but is it still the same for when one is in MB and the other is in GB? Please help as I would like to make sure I haven't exceeded my total data usage.
  • Recover iMessages for iPhone? I deleted some VERY important messages by accident, and I really need them back! The last time I backed up my phone was a month ago and I didn't activate the iCloud… Is there any free way that I can recover these messages!
