How to reduce data usage on my Droid RAZR M?
I'm on Verizons 4G LTE network and have recently upgraded my phone from the iPhone 4 to RAZRRm and am having a lot of problems with my data. I have 2G, which should be more than enough for the things I do (basic: facebook, instegram, etc.) I'm connected to my Wi-Fi at home, boyfriends house, school, and work and still seem to go though data like water. I have resorted to completely turning off my 3G/4G and it still is counting (according to My Verizon)
I have downloaded the app "My Data Tracker" which allows me to see the day and amount of data that I use and it tells me that i've only used about 28 MB for this month, however on the My Verizon app it tells me that I have used all of my data in about two weeks and it is still counting.
I've done all the things that the Tech support team has suggested that I do and have talk with them for countless hours only for them to tell me that there's nothing I can do about it.
Is there ANYONE that can help me!
I love my phone and just wish I could use it to its fullest.
THINGS VERIZON HAS SUGGESTED:
1.master reset phone (done)
2.manually force close app by going to setting>apps>slide to running and force close all apps manually. (done- even downloaded an optimizer)
3.connect to Wi-Fi (done-obviously)
They are very consistent about these three suggestions and even when I do them they do not work. I hope this is enough information for anyone to help me solve the problem!
It appears you have apps running in the background causing data to be eaten up. Your optimizer may also be running in the background causing data to continue to accrue on your plan. I would also master reset the phone again. Those solutions should have worked. The last thing, you may want to review how you are charged for data… The phone companies are sneaky when it comes to billing and will try to squeeze every last possible dime from a phone.
Help, data overage is crazy. But verizon has no idea why also no help for getting it fixed. Bill in last fiew months has gone from 200.00 to 600.00. On phone with them hrs. With no avail.
- What to get droid razr or iphone 4s? Contracts ending up in a couple of weeks and have been looking for a new phone. What would you prefer, what's the difference between them?
- VERIZON: Switching from DROID RAZR to an iPhone? I'm a Verizon user. My DROID RAZR currently is not working and I'm pretty certain I broke it. But I was wondering, can I switch my DROID RAZR to an iPhone?
- Should i trade my white Droid Razr for a white Iphone 4 8GB? Both in good shape. Never had the iphone and really wanted the 4s but this is my best offer. Said i could jailbreak it to make as good as 4s for the most part?
- Should i trade my droid razr for the iphone 5? I was going to get an iphone when i first got a smart phone but it wasn't lte yet. With the iphone five now out i'm wondering if i should trade in my razr to get it. Just looking for opinions and don't say any thing about the s3 because i hate samsung programing.
