How to reset a forgotten restrictions passcode?
My mom set them two years ago, and she forgot the code. I wanted to download a movie that's rated R but she can't remember the code so I can't. Is there a way to remove it without wiping the iPod? Also, I'm getting an iPhone tomorrow, so if I restore the backup from this iPod, will the backup include the Restrictions passcode? I've also tried using iBackupBot, and encrypting a code that makes the device think the passcode is 1234. But it wouldn't let me edit the plist file because I had to pay for the full version. Is there a better solution? I do NOT have a Mac.
Obviously its more secure then silly things like that. See if you can reset on apple site as you can with icloud passwords.
The device has to be reset.
- Will restoring my iPhone on my iTunes unlock my forgotten passcode? I put a new passcode on then stupidly forgot it and nkw I can't get in because i'm getting it wrong. - My iPhone 4s won't let me reset it without a restrictions passcode? It says I need to put in the restriction password to do it but I never made a restriction password I don't know what it's talking about… Is there a way to erase that password I have no idea what it is or how it's on there
- IPhone won't restore? Forgotten passcode? I forgot my passcode for my iPhone 4s. I have tried to restore it, but it keeps saying that the phone has a passcode on it and and you need to get rid of it before you can restore it. But because I have forgotten the passcode, I can't do it this way. But when ever I try and do it through DFU mode, the same message still comes up half way through 'extracting files'… Any other ways?
