How to reset iphone 4 with passcode lock and home button not working?
I bought an iphone off a lady but she forgot her passcode and the power button doesn't work. Thats why she sold it to me, I assumed it would not be too difficult to get done.
Do you know how to do the Recovery Mode? But it will lose all your data so better back it up. While you're connecting the phone to your pc via cable, press the home button until you'll see an iTunes logo on your iphone. Then in iTunes, there will be a pop-op window that says RESTORE. Click that and that's it!
It is always better to take your iphone to a repair expert rather than trying your own unexperienced and untrained hand over it. Rush to your nearest iphone repairing center for unlocking and to fix the problem of home button.
You have to turn the phone off somehow and then plug it back in holding the home button so it goes into recovery mode. Then restore in iTunes. You should be good to go if you can figure out how to turn it off.
Hold down the lock and home button, this will reboot the iPhone, keep holding until you see an apple appear and then let off the lock button but continue holding the home button

I really only need the home function, but it would be really nice if it also had a screenshot function (because screenshots need the home + lock combo) Edit: If it makes any difference, my phone is an iPhone 3GS (old, lol) and has iOS 6.1.6.
