How to restore an iPhone without iTunes and without going past the apple logo screen?

I recently installed the iOS7 BETA onto my phone to help a developer friend of mine test out an app. Well yesterday I tried turning it on and it would not go past the apple logo screen so I did the usual "hold the sleep and power button down for 10 seconds." That did not work so I tried doing a hard reset off of iTunes and putting my phone in recovery mode. Every time I did that it came up with a different error and would not allow my phone to go into recovery mode. I then tried a DFU which also did not work. I'm stuck now with a connect to iTunes screen on my phone yet I can't even connect to iTunes and I can't take it into the apple store to have them reset it because "they do not support iOS 7" and "can't even touch it due to liabilities." I remember a long time ago watching a video of a kid resetting an iPhone by doing some combanation of pressing the sleep and home button 8 times and holding them down and then like stop pressing the home button or something like that. Is there anyway to hard reset your phone like that? Please I need help!

Download the program tinuymbrella on your computer. This will allow for it to be reset. Then go to https://sites.google.com/site/ios7download/home to retry iOS 7

But now it's stuck at the apple logo and has been like this for almost an hour. My phone has full battery. I don't know what to do!   • My iPhone 4 won't boot past the apple logo? I jailbroke my iphone months ago and there hasn't been any problems until what I think I did to screw everything up. I went into diskaid and tried to delete part of a theme. When I tried to load it on winterboard, some icons just started disappearing when it resprung. Then some more, and then finally it turned off and it won't go past the apple logo now. Is there any way to fix this without restoring and upgrading?
