How to restore iphone after mistaken restore?
Long story short: my phone was stolen. I got a new one. I'm on a prepaid tmobile plan so they couldn't restore anything. I have(had) new contacts and pictures. My computer wasn't working for a few months. Just got it up and running so I plugged in my phone to put my music on it. It restored my phone so I got all my old pictures, contacts, and messages, BUT it deleted all my new stuff that I put on it since getting the new one! How can I just get both back? My old and new stuff?
You can't. A restore erases the phone and fills it with the stuff contained in the backup you used for the restore. Anything you put in the phone before restoring it is lost.

Last night I powered it down for the night, and when I woke up a d turned it back on and unlocked the lock screen and went to my home screen it said I had two text messages and before I could click on it they disappeared. So where did they go and is there any way to find them?
- IPhone 3GS will not work after restore? I have Cydia on my iPhone and it sent me an update saying I needed to upgrade it. I did, but the process took a very long time and it froze my phone. I plugged it into the computer, and restored it. Now, I've selected the language and location, but the sim card can't be read. The card worked perfectly fine before I restored my phone and now, it doesn't work at all. I've tried turning off and on the phone and I've taken and re-inserted the card about a hundred times.
- Iphone 3gs no service on activation after restore? I restored my jailbroken iPhone 3GS and when it restarted it didn't read my sim card and said that i should put a sim card in on iTunes and on the activation bit of the phone. Is the phone just locked and i need to unlock it or is it ***?
- If you disabled FindMyiPhone to restore your device, will the app be enabled again after the restore? A few weeks ago I upgraded to the iPhone SE and I restored the data from my iPhone 4s onto it. (I had to disable FindMyiPhone in the process). Little did I know that it would be lost/stolen 2 weeks later. Really need to know if FindMyiPhone would be enabled because I want to know if I still have any hope at all finding it. Thanks. I tried the app already… Says it's offline. Been waiting since.
