How to restore my iphone lock?
If you can't get into your phone to restore then you will need to enter DFU mode:
- Plug your device into your computer with a USB cable.
- Turn off the device.
- Hold the Power button for 3 seconds.
- Hold the Home and Power buttons for 10 seconds.
- Release the Power button but keep holding the Home button.
- After about 15 seconds you will be alerted by iTunes saying that it has detected a device in Recovery Mode.
- Once in DFU mode simply press restore on iTunes. This will ignore the lock.
This will NOT work if the phone is iCloud locked which would mean the device has been reported lost/stolen. If you have an iCloud lock then you're out of luck. It can't be bypassed as it is an anti-theft feature.
- Will I get activation lock if I restore? So my Iphone 5 running iOS 7.0.4 got stuck on apple logo. The problem is that I'm using a different apple id than before and I don't remember my password and thus i can't around Activation Lock. But before i got this problem i turned off find my iphone but on my newer itunes id if this has any connection whatsoever.
- When you restore an iphone from itunes backup does it restore messages? I need to restore my iPhone 4S in iTunes, will I lose my messages or will it leave the messages from my most recent back up?
- Iphone lock button broken, is there any alternative to lock iphone? My iphone 3G lock button is totally damaged and is out of warranty and I can't afford to get it repaired. I was wondering is there any app which can convert "silent" button to lock button. Or may be an app on which i can manually lock the device. By the way my Iphone is jailbroken, and "accessibility" is not accessible.
- Iphone 5 folder lock or app lock? If anybody know iPhone 5 have feature for pass ward lock for app or folder. Ex: (Something like when i open text message i like to put some password ) Or i can put some few app in one folder when open it have to ask passward) I know it have app for video and pictures.
