How to turn off the notifications on Twitter?

I just set up a Twitter account this morning so need some help. Every time someone folllws me or replies to my tweets my iphone beeps like if I had a text message. It's really annoying, how do I turn it off?

Go to settings on your phone and then go to twitter and click it then turn off alerts, badages and sounds. Also there's an option in the twitter app too

  • Twitter SMS & Twitter App Mobile Notifications? I have and Iphone 4, currently up to date, etc etc. When I turn on mobile notifications on twitter I receive both the SMS/404-04 text notification and a push notification from my twitter mobile app. I would prefer to receive the notifications from my app only and not SMS. It would be easier to distinguish tweet from normal texts. Plus The SMS notifications leave my texts list messy. I can't figure out how to do this anywhere. Solutions?

And i use twitter.before i got my ohone i just had the twitter notifications to the people i was subscribed to sent to my phone. But i still use that but it sends me notifications too directly from twitter and i just want my texts. But how do i turn off the notifications without turning off my texts.
  • How to turn off Twitter notifications on my iPhone? Since I've downloaded that new twitter update a few days ago it shows that red exclamation mark next to my twitter app on my iPhone whenever somebody favourites my tweet… And I hate it! Does anybody know how to get rid of it? I've tried farting around with the notification settings but nothing seems to work. Any suggestions?
