How to unlink a iphone from icloud account?
I want to buy an iphone off ebay and basically the seller says it is linked to a 3rd party icloud account and they can't get hold of them so the phone is fine except for that they can't sign on to it. Would this be easy to do? Surely you'd just connect it to itunes and restore the phone to its factory settings and set it up as a new iphone?
Don't do it. You will be stuck. Its a security feature (which is a great feature). The person that had it originally will need to wipe it before you can set it up as your own (which by the way if its stolen that means you can't turn off find my iphone either, and it will notify them of the phones location whenever its connected to Wi-Fi or celltower).
Walk away. The original owner has to unlink the phone via their account. If the owner can't be contacted or refuses to do it, then you're stuck. Apple doesn't touch it. They don't get involved with third party transactions and drama. ICloud unlock is almost impossible to bypass successfully. Some try. See for yourself. Best luck.
