Follow the instructions to jailbreak, and make sure you save a back up on your computer. All jailbreak engines are only available on Apple and Windows computers. Then, depending on what plan you have at tmobile, have them give you a micro-SIM card and put it in. You then should be able to use the phone on any network. However, if you go with a carrier that regularly doesn't carry iphone 4, I believe you can't get a contract, so you can only go month to month. Let me know if I'm wrong.
