How to use iPhone 4 on t mobile without the data plan?
Do I have to unlock it after I buy it? Is there a switch that I can hit that maybe says turn data connection off? I just want to be able to use Wi-Fi.
Yes there's a switch, but wouldn't make too much sense since you have to pay for it either way. Might as well use it.
Settings > General > Cellular > Cellular Data > OFF
IPhone Factory Unlock means you will be able to use your iphone to different carriers and also use it outside the country. So it is not necessary to unlock it after you buy it.
If you just want to use the Wi-Fi (public Wi-Fi) instead of your data plan, then you can turn it off here:
Settings > General > Cellular > Cellular Data > OFF
- Use an iPhone without a data plan? (verizon)? I have a flip phone that has been failing me lately. I went to verizon and saw a very small selection of phones that don't require data plans, and out of the selection there weren't any that I saw good reviews for. I know the iphone is a good quality phone, and I really want to get one, but I'm not looking to spend money on the data plan that I know I won't use. is there a way to have an iphone and not have to pay for the internet?
