How to use iphone 5c from sprint on other carrier?

I have an iphone 5c from sprint and i want to use it in another carrier gsm

some one help please.

Make sure the phone is unlocked, I'm not sure if it comes unlocked or not. The easiest way to do this if your phone is locked is call your carrier and suggest you are thinking of traveling abroad for a few weeks, and would like to unlock your phone to use with a prepaid sim while you are away.

Once it is unlocked, it just has to be deactivated from sprint service, then insert the sim card from your gsm carrier, and reboot. You should be good to go.

Be aware, this will not get you out of a contract with Sprint. If you have a contract with them, you will be responsible for paying the bill, whether you use the phone on their network or not. Canceling service with them before your contract has expired requires paying an ETF (early termination fee), usually a few hundred dollars depending on how long into the contract you are. T-mobile has recently advertised they will pay ETFs if you trade in your old phone, so that may be worth looking into if this is your dilemma.
