How to watch streaming programs on iPad and iPhone?

The iPad and iPhone iOS 6 ( and older) does NOT run Adobe Flash.

Nor will Apple support Flash on future iOS versions.

So, the ONLY Streaming Video websites that are viewable on these devices must be written using HTML 5 encoding. HTML 5 is the best replacement for Adobe's buggy Flash Player, but it's slow to become the accepted alternative to Flash. And, well-programmed video websites will sense your Apple Device, and just work as expected.

TIP: This is fully explained on Apple's website, and in your Apple Mobile Device's User Manual.

1: Locate the stream in a player.

2: Tap the Play button.

  • Would downloading and streaming while Wi-Fi is on still take up cellular data? I turned cellular data off on my iPhone and turned on Wi-Fi. I'm allowed 7GB of data each month and the cell carrier told me not to make and big downloads or stream videos or it will slow my internet down. If I do these things while Wi-Fi is on, would I still be using up the 7GB? Or can I download and stream freely like I did with my iPod?

  • What's the best computers to run programs like R and ArcGIS? I'm looking at getting a new computer and I'm pretty heavily leaning towards getting a Mac, just for the convenience of compatibility between the Mac and my iPhone mainly, and it's also pretty good for someone like myself who is a student. But I'm also going to be needing to run programs like R and ArcGIS on it and was wondering if a Mac was good enough for this or should I go for a PC? And if so, any suggestions on which particular laptop?
