I accidentally put my iphone on a wet surface?
So what happened was, I put my iphone on the table without knowing it was wet. When I figured out it was wet, it was already more than 15 minutes since I put in on the table. I was playing music that time. I immediately wiped my iphone with a towel but in the middle of wiping it suddenly the speakers sounded like it was covered. I'm not sure if this is because i accidentally pressed something or because of the water, so please help.
And if it is because of the water, can you tell me how to return it back to normal without going to a repair shop? I'm afraid my mom would kill me ;-;
Quick! Put it in a bag of rice!
Fill a plastic bag with some rice and put the phone in, so that it is completely covered with rice. Then, tie/seal the bag. The rice will draw the moisture from the water in the phone and it should be good to use in a couple of days. Make sure your phone is switched off during this process and don't switch it on until it has been in the rice for at least 24 hours. Switching it on before it's dry, could break a circuit within the iphone and permanently damage it.
- Will or work if I put my iPhone in a rice bowl after a month of it getting wet? About a month ago my phone got sweat on the screen or it was too humid and hot and so the screen turned white with vertical lines on it but after 10 minutes it would go back to normal and now it does the same thing every morning. Will it still work to put it in a rice bowl?

- I accidentally got my iPhone 3G wet and now the power button doesn't work, how to fix? As the question name says, I got my phone wet but not completely wet. The home button works and so does the screen. However, the power button isn't reacting and the volume buttons aren't very responsive. I can still shut down my phone by using the Assistive Touch features. The downside to that is that I can only turn on my phone by plugging in my charger which is not something I can always do. Can anyone help me with this?
