I can send text messages from my iPhone but can't receive messages?
I have an iPhone 5, and i was texting my friends (who also have iPhones) and my messages send to them as text messages (not iMessages) but their texts don't come through to me. I have a macbook air and have my phone number hooked up to messages, so i can receive the messages there, but not my actual phone.
Go into your settings on your phone and see if you have iMessages turn off.
- Why can't i send or receive text messages? I have an Iphone 3Gs, and just recently I have not been able to send or receive text messages from one contact. When I try sending a message it says "received" but when we talk through facebook or anything else they inform me that they never got the message, and its the same with their phone, I never get the messages. Its becoming a big hassle and I just want the problem fixed. Can anyone help me out?

- My New iPhone 4 won't send or receive text messages? I have checked the service centre number which is correct, I have updated the ios software thing (I'm not too clever with Apple products but yes it's been updated).It says iMessage is waiting for activation but it has said this for ages now. I have tried absolutely everything with still nothing. I can make calls, use the internet, I can do everything else! I just can't send or receive text messages… Will someone please help me?
- My iPhone won't send or receive any text messages? My iPhone 4 can't receive or send any texts/iMessages. When I try to send a message it doesn't show the little red 'error' circle or anything, the text will appear and it will say sending and as it's finished loading it'll just disappear. No one receives my texts and I don't get theirs. What should I do?
