I chose the wrong way to explore my iPhone! Won't Open in iTunes anymore?
Alright, so I have windows 8.1, and I plugged my cable into the USB port. There's usually an option that appears in the top right that asks what I'd like to do with this device, and for some reason, I clicked open folder to view contents. Now every single time I plug it in, it will only open the folder and iTunes won't connect to it. I've spent days looking on Google and found nothing. I can't sync new content, or back my phone up like this!
While replugging your iphone, is itunes running? If yes, then you will see an iphone button show up towards the upper right hand corner.
if no, then you should run itunes first then plug the iphone next. Keep on unplugging and replugging the iphone until you see the botton show up on the upper right corner.
if it fails, Try unistalling and reinstalling i-tunes…
i usually get the same message and even if i explore my iphone, i just unplug my connector and replug it - just ensure that itunes is on.
- Why won't my iTunes recognize my iPhone 5c anymore? My iTunes used to always recognize my iPhone, even my laptop right away had something pop up for it when I plugged it in. My brother recently got a new iPhone so he signed into his iTunes and ever since nothing happens when I plug my phone in besides charge it, same for my brother. Is it because he signed in or also because I just updated iTunes? I've tried restarting both my iPhone and laptop.
