I dropped my iPhone 4 in water? - 2
I dropped my iPhone 4 in water (it was completely submerged but only for MAYBE 2 seconds) it has an otter box, but not the really good kind just the kind with rubber layer and hard plastic outer layer. I immediately put it in a jar of dry rice and about 5 min later it was still working. I read that leaving it on causes more damage so I turned it off. Do you think it will be ok?
Cover up the ports, headphone and charger and put the phone in rice. It will dry it out.
I dropped my iphone in the toilet once (and i got it again. And it seemed to work perfectly fine at first.
but after time strange things stated to happened (like it went on and off silent randomly) and then i lost my backlight
then it stopped working all together (so i put my hand in a toilet for nothing. )
this might be the same case…
If you ever find the moistering packets inside of products and food packages put those over your phone and your phone over an air vent, also open every easy to open part of the phone that you can, make sure you take off your case too.
You Should keep it in the rice for 72 hours. Change the rice every 24 hours. Do Not try and turn it on, that could worsen your problem. If it still does't work after the 72 hours, then i would suggest taking it into a apple store.
- I dropped my Iphone in water - no water damage showing on indicator? Here is the situation. I dropped my Iphone 5 in the toilet (I hadn't peed yet so all good there). Immediately switched it off, dried it and put it in a bag of rice. This was at about 6 p.m yesterday. This morning without turning it on I opened up the sim compartment to check the circle for water damage (checked online and apparently this is where to check for water damage). The indicator was white. It is back in the rice but I was wondering - when you think it will be ok to turn back on?
- I dropped my iPhone in water - 3 I just dropped my phone in water about a minute ago(it's 9:25 PST). I hurried up and got it out dried it off as fast as I could. It was working fine until now. It keeps popping up "charging not supported on this device" and also I just found out the sound isn't working! Now I can't even listen to all the money I spent on my songs. Is there anything to help this? I was thinking I can back it up on iTunes? Would that help? I don't know I just need major help please.
