I dropped my iphone in the toilet! - 2
I dropped my iphone 4s in the toilet. It was in there for about two seconds. It still works, but the home button is a little iffy. Plus also, when I turn it off, it turns itself back on again. It is completely off right now since I had low battery and it died a few minutes later. I put it in rice and its been in there for an hour so far. Is there a good chance that it will work completely? How long should I keep it in the rice?
Leave it a couple of days and if you're lucky it will go back to new and water free!
Good that it's in rice. Can you take the battery out? (I don't have an iPhone)
My friend's baby chewed on her iPhone one time and it started going funny so she took it in to the store and they opened it and it was full of baby drool. Like, dripping. And they were able to fix it. So yours should be okay, especially since it's working now, but if it were me I'd take it in to get looked at, because maybe they can at least dry it out inside. The water might keep seeping into new parts of the phone otherwise.
Ok lol I just literally had a coughing fit because of what I just read! Omg seriously? I mean dude, if your going to "go" at least put your phone somewhere other than your pocket, cause it might fall out. And RICE! Really, rice has so many wonderful uses, I never knew you can make phone-rice curry with it. My Advice, is to get a new phone, I mean 4S is a great phone, but the 5 is way better, just saying.
Put your iphone in a bag of rice for a whole day and let it dry several days and hope you didn't ruin it.
