I dropped my iPhone in water! - 1

I was doing dishes and listening to music on my iPhone 4S when I dropped it in, I dried it with a towel and it seemed fine until the volume didn't work. The phone won't show the volume controls or make a sound except Siri, Help Please I JUST GOT IT

Put it in a bowl of rice for 6 hours

Power it down completely. Fill a bowl big enough to fit your iPhone in with uncooked rice. Place the iPhone burrowed in the rice. Leave over night. Should work fully in the am.

Put it in a bowl of dry rice. Its always helped my phones when I got them wet.

I hope you have insurance, because there's nothing you can do about water damage. Unless you take it apart. And even if you did, you most likely have to replace the logic board. And have fun with that. You have to build the phone around that

Try putting it in a bag of rice

Same thing happened to me - i placed the phone on my lips and blew gently but firmly and slowly into each of the two tiny speakers on the bottom of the the phone for about two seconds - slowly but directly onto the speakers - then tried a new ring and it worked great!

  • I dropped my Iphone in water - no water damage showing on indicator? Here is the situation. I dropped my Iphone 5 in the toilet (I hadn't peed yet so all good there). Immediately switched it off, dried it and put it in a bag of rice. This was at about 6 p.m yesterday. This morning without turning it on I opened up the sim compartment to check the circle for water damage (checked online and apparently this is where to check for water damage). The indicator was white. It is back in the rice but I was wondering - when you think it will be ok to turn back on?
  • I dropped my iPhone in water - 3 I just dropped my phone in water about a minute ago(it's 9:25 PST). I hurried up and got it out dried it off as fast as I could. It was working fine until now. It keeps popping up "charging not supported on this device" and also I just found out the sound isn't working! Now I can't even listen to all the money I spent on my songs. Is there anything to help this? I was thinking I can back it up on iTunes? Would that help? I don't know I just need major help please.
