I dropped my iPhone in water. - 1

So I dropped my iPhone 4 into a bathtub, and it was submerged for about 1-2 seconds before I pulled it out. I didn't shut it down right away, I just wiped the outside with a towel and continued on. After an hour or so, I was outside, and I dropped it on the ground. Nothing too bad, nothing that would permanently damage it. It shut off and wouldn't turn back on. When I plugged it into the charger, the Apple logo flashed but then it went dead again. I did some research and put it in an airtight bag of rice. It's been about 60 hours since I've done that, and the phone still isn't working. What should I do? I changed the rice yesterday. Before, you could see evidence of water in the camera, but now it's gone, so that must mean that the rice is effective. I don't know how long I should wait until I give up and take it to the Apple Store. I also attempted to use a hairdryer, but that also didn't work.

I've always used rice myself. Although, I've been able to easily access the battery on said phones. I would immediately pull the battery and put both the phone and battery in rice for a few days and it's always done the trick.

If you've had it 'riced' for two and a half days already and it's still not working, I'm guessing it may be too late to save it. Take it to the Apple Store and see what they have to say.
