I found an iphone.what to do?
I found an iphone and don't know what to do with it. I know nothing about how to use one and it seems the battery is now dead. If I buy a charger, charge it to full, would that do anything to help? I read somewhere that the owner can call the phone… But it was locked when I found it. What to do?
Find out if whatever place you found it at has a lost-and-found.
If you found it on the train or bus, you're probably going to have to take it to one of the major stations.
Charge it and wait until the owner calls you. You can't do anything since there's a lock. Though you can emergency call
If you were able to figure out which carrier it was on… You could return it to one of their locations and they would return it back to the owner. I would say the Police Department but they probably wouldn't bother… And lost and found at some store is even worse… They would just sell it probably…
If you know anyone with an iPhone… Ask if they could charge up the phone so you can find out the carrier.

Wait, if you live in Canada… Then it's probably a Rogers phone… Find one of their offices and return it there.
Maybe pop out the Sim card, put it into another phone and see if you can retrieve some numbers. Maybe take it to nearest apple store. Maybe find someone with an iPhone and borrow their charger. Then from locked screen hope that voice dial might be active. Hold down the home button for four seconds, ask it to "call home" or "call mom"
Charge it up and wait for the owner to use "find my iPhone" or call/text you. Just leave it on and wait for them. If nobody calls, bring it to the police station in the town you found it. Maybe they have a report for it
