I got a bad ESN iPhone 5 from sprint. What to do now?
My friend sold me an iPhone 5 from sprint for $140. I decided to sell it on gazelle because I wanted the 5s, and I could use the $60 towards the purchase. However, Gazelle informed me that the ESN isn't showing as cleared. What do I do now? Does this have to do with unlocking the phone? Can I call and inquire about the ESN or does the account holder have to do so?
I would ask your friend about it since it's his phone.
The phones owner would have to deal with it.
The phone is still connected to your friend's account. Your friend has to activate another phone on that line or pay the early termination fee for it. If neither is possible, you need to get your money back.
