I got a pop up saying a virus was detected on my iPhone. Should I be worried?
I was on safari when a pop up said a virus was detected and to click ok to scan
99% of the time when you get popups that say that they are just ads themselves trying to get you to load some bogus software onto your phone which WILL give it a virus… Don't do it.
That itself is a browser virus. Probably best thing to do is uninstall and reinstall then get a virus app yourself.
- Virus on iPhone 4s? Pop ups? I know that it's basically impossible to get a virus, but everytime I open the Internet on y iPhone it redirects me to a page saying "claim the new iPhone 5 today, you are the 10000th viewer". I tried clearing my history, cookies, and data and it stil did it. How do I make it stop?
- Should i be worried about my iphone 5? I've had this iphone5 for a month now and i've only noticed now that there's a red glowing dot near the top speaker. It can only be seen in the dark. After doing some research i think its supposed to be the proximity sensor but some people say its abnormal to be seeing this? Is this a problem? Should i be worried? What's a proximity sensor anyways and how do i turn off the red dot if possible?
- IPhone has detected an iPhone in recovery mode, Will I lose pictures? It say I must restore the iPhone before it can be used with iTunes. The screen on phone only has a plug into iTunes logo on it. I need to make sure my pics are backed up but Can't get into phone to check. Is there a way to stop mandatory restore?
- If an iPhone somehow got a virus, what would stop that virus from spreading to the recovery image? If an iPhone got a virus, couldn't it just spread to the recovery image? I don't mean where you connect the iPhone to your computer and restore through iTunes. I mean the restore image that is actually on the iPhone.
