There's a cool mind trick you can use I'm being serious ar ask for something big or expensive and when they say no then ask for a iPhone. Example mom dad can I have a car. Mom dad say hell no. You say can i have a iPhone they say umm yes. Do your research though of how much it will cost them. If they have att for example it is only 99.00

I think you can get a part-time job to make money, and if still not enough money
there, then ask your parents for another part of it.

Do all the research yourself so they don't need to do any of it. Find the cheapest deal and plan to show them the cost, money doesn't grow on trees so you may have to give up some things (use imessage or apps for texting, etc., to lower the monthly plan, get iphone 4S which is free with a 2 year contract). If they don't want to pay a monthly contract then you can always get ipod touch so you have no monthly bill, and can still use imessage, apps, and facetime over Wi-Fi. Thats another option.
