It not leagl and its stupid. It screwed up my iphone and it won't turn on. Don't do it!
1.yes it is completely legal. You bought the phone, so you have full right to do whatever you want with it. HOWEVER there are aspects of the jailbreak that can be illegal. Jailbreaking can provide apps that give illegal services, such as downloading paid apps for free, or downloading movies. If you just jailbreak to have the tweaks and mods, it is completely legal.
