If I change my Apple ID will that stop imessages from being sent to another iPhone?
I recently found out my ex was still receiving all of my imessages on his phone. While we were dating we had our phones set up on the same Apple ID account. I know that to stop the messages from being sent to his phone I need to go in and uncheck my number from "send and receive" but obviously that is not really an option. So if I were to just change my Apple ID would that stop the messages from being sent to his phone?
With imessage its designed to do that, so you can share messages between others and other devices too. Yes, you should sign up for a new apple ID and have your own ID for your phone, otherwise you 2 are still linked with the same account.
- Will iMessages sent on an iPhone using Wi-Fi show up on the phone bill? I use an iPhone and text other iPhones, iPods, and iPads on Wi-Fi using iMessage. Will these show up on the phone bill? Or are they separate, since they are sent on Wi-Fi? And when I don't send them on Wi-Fi, would those use up data/show up on the bill?
- Why is my Iphone not sending as Imessages and receiving iMessages from one person? I'm texting my wife and we both have iPhone's and she is getting the messages as an iMessage but the ones I'm sending her on my end show up at green. Sometime it will go as blue, get the little red exclamation point then send as regular SMS. I'm texting someone else too and she has an iPhone, and she is getting mine as regular iMessages and mine are sending as regular iMessages. Why aren't they sending to me wife as iMessages?
- Why does my iphone stop working after I change the date and how can I stop it from doing that? - Newest iPhone update automatically saves pictures sent in iMessages to camera roll. How do I make this stop? I installed the newest iPhone update the other day and I noticed a bunch of pictures that I took in the messages app and sent via iMessage were saved to my camera roll. This just junks up the pictures I want to save and I have to delete them every time. Is there a way to turn off this auto save?
