If I change my DNS code from canadian to american will I get roaming charges?

So this may seem like a stupid question, but I just wanna be positive. I changed my DNS code on my iPhone from a canadian one to an American one so I can watch American netflix on my phone, will my phone think I'm in the usa and charge me roaming?

DNS makes NO difference to where you are. You can use a Russian DNS in the US, Canada or anywhere and it will be the same result. You IP address is what tells the system where you are and you can't change that without losing your connection. It is provided by your ISP.

  • Will I still be paying roaming charges if my iPhone is on airplane mode? I live in canada an my brother got a huge bill for roaming charges when he went to new York without even calling or texting. I'll be going to new York tomorrow and I would like to know if my phone will be roaming on airplane mode
  • Roaming and Wi-Fi charges abroad So I'm a bit confused at the moment with roaming and Wi-Fi. I'm abroad right now staying at my relatives house and both my iphone and iPad are connected to the house Wi-Fi and also put on aero plane mode. Will I still be charged even though I've got both of these on? Also if I'm not connected to the Internet but just use photos and no go on the Internet, will I still be charged? Thanks I was able to connect to a Wi-Fi while using aero plane mode.
  • I recently changed my iPhone 5 DNS code. How do I get my original DNS code back? So, I changed my iPhone 5 DNS code to this code here 190.14.36.90 in order to get the American version of Netflix. I want to change it back because my favourite apps such as twitter aren't working anymore but I do not know my original DNS code to change it back. Is there a mutual DNS code for all Irish iPhone 5's? Or did I have a specific code? Is there anyway of getting my code back? If so, how?
  • I'm trying to get my primary and secondary dns? I'm trying to get my primary dns for my xbox 360. But it messed up and I don't have it on there so I'm trying to get it. I do not have a computer to do ipconfig /all. So any ideas all I have is a iPhone 5c todo this on.
