If I erase and sync my iPhone 4 in the music library, will it erase my photos?

I'm trying to add music to my iPhone 4 and when I go to sync just the music, it says 'erase and sync'. Will it delete my photos? If so, can I right click my iPhone and back it up so if it does delete my photos, I can just back it up?

Use iCloud and put all your pictures in there and you won't lose them that way. Once you Erase and Sync, sign into iCloud and you'll get all you pictures back.

I believe it's telling you to erase and sync because this isn't the computer that you normally sync that phone with.

To try and prevent piracy Apple (in their infinite wisdom) decided to implement this idea of 'syncing' rather than just a 'drag-and-drop'. I can't stand it, but without jailbreaking, that's your only option.

If all you want to ensure you retain are your photo's, you can simply use a drag-and-drop interface to retrieve them.

Plug your phone, via USB, to your computer, then go to:

1) My Computer
2) yourNames' iphone (it should show up as a camera device)
3) Open the DCIM folder
4) All your pictures will be sat there, simply click one
5) Push CTRL+A to highlight them all
6) Right-click on one
7) Select 'Copy'
8) Go back to your desktop
9) Right-click in some empty space on your desktop
10) New ~> Folder
11) Name it something interesting
12) Open it
13) Right-click anywhere in the folder
14) 'Paste'
15) Your pictures and videos will now be backed up onto your desktop in the folder you just created.
16) To get them back on your phone, simply copy and paste them from your desktop, back into the DCIM folder on your phone (effectively repeating the steps).

Hope this helps!
