If I reset my iPhone will it earse the Icloud account from my phone?
Okay. I recently got a used Iphone 5 from the internet. It works great. The only problem Is the person who had this phone last is still signed in with their Icloud account. I've tried to reset my phone to factory settings but it always asks for the password to the iCloud account (I have no way to contact this person) I called apple support and they said it would cost $100 to fix the problem. I was wondering if there was any solution to this without having to pay so much? If I disable my phone and connect to iTunes and reset it will it solve this?
No, resetting it won't remove the iCloud account. The only way to remove it is to enter in the correct password. If it was an honest mistake on the seller's part then you should contact them to get it removed. If they won't do it then there's a fairly good chance the phone was stolen.
I'm kind of surprised Apple even offered to fix it because the iCloud lock is an anti-theft tool.
