If i unlock my Iphone will it work in New Zealand ok?

Taking my iphone on a years trip to New Zealand, if i just unlock it in the shops will that be enough?

If the iPhone is GSM and unlocked then it will work in New Zealand's GSM networks. You can unlock it in the shop or you can unlock it using Remote Unlock Service provided by http://www.superunlockcodes.com/apple-iphone/rs16wp9/. There you have to give your Country and current network name along with your IMEI number to get the Remote Unlock Service.
