If I update my unlocked iPhone 4, will I lose my unlock?
I recently bought an iPhone 4 and was told it was unlocked and used to be on T-mobile. I'm now in Canada and set the phone up with Fido. Everything works great, except I have noticed it is running 4.3.5 ios which stinks because it's missing tons of features and I can't download many apps. I really would like to update the phone to the newest IOS, but I'm pretty sure I will lose the unlock (I don't really know how it was unlocked and neither does the person who sold it to me, it's not jailbroken). Anyway, if I do update it I'm wondering what the best way is to unlock it again? Can anyone help me to find a good site or place to look whicj will give me step by step instructions on how to unlock an iPhone for on the newest IOS so that I can use it on Fido again?
Iphone4 is a top smartphone. It should be unlocked firs and the updatea?! Also it should be compatible with the new system and reading its manual is a great help?! Good try!
- Will i lose the notes on my iphone if i update it? I lost my phone so as a replacement i got my Dads old phone which is fine but he wants the notes from his old iPhone.anyway i know how to do it using mobile me but the problem is it's an incredibly outdated iphone and doesn't have the option it would have if i updated it. So if i was to update the phone would i lose my notes?

- IOS 7 UPDATE: Can I still update my unlocked iPhone? So I went to a friends phone retail store he unlocked my iPhone through a company wich gives u the code to unlock and then he connected it wit Net10 (AT&T). Pretty sure it was a legal unlock MY QUESTION IS: can I still update my iPhone 4S to IOS 7 even though my iPhone is unlocked? Because if I do I'm worried my carrier settings wuld erase and I wouldn't have a line with Net10 any more.

Neither the computer nor iTunes are recognising my phone and I've been working on his for an hour, I want to stop the update so I can go to bed, how can I do that?
