Why on earth would Jesus think such a thing? He is the one who created this earth and many other worlds as well. Heb. 1:1,2…"GOD, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, 2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by [his] Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;" Don't blame Jesus for your mistakes.

That's right. That's how I explain why the Bible can't be relied on for all the information that there is-which we don't even know a fraction of yet.

Just know that we were Created by a Creator and that you are part of that. Beyond that, no one knows. Besides YOU don't know what Jesus knew. What if Jesus went around talking about evolution. He had a hard enough time as it was.
