If you bring an unlocked iphone to the verizon store, will they activate it for you?

So here is the situation. A few days ago, my iphone was stolen. I was obviously not happy and now need a new phone. If you know iphones, a 16gb iphone 5s without an upgrade costs $650, and thats pretty ridiculous. However, if I bought say a used phone, or unlocked phone off of craigslist, ebay, or amazon, I save lots and lots of money. My question is will the people at verizon activate it no matter what? What are the conditions on which they will/won't activate it? Any insight would be appreciated.

As long as it's CDMA signal enabled or unlocked, no problem. Big Red doesn't care what you use. Could be a tin can and string. All they want is the bill paid. Best luck.
