Not automatically unless you fix the settings to automatically sync to iPhoto. It will ask you before it Syncs them
For now, there's no iPhoto anymore. There's an app called Photos which replaced for iPhoto.
and you have to sync photos from your phone to this app. ITunes is an independent app.

However it is only syncing a fraction of the photos (194/450)? I have updated all my programs, and my iphone 5. I have deleted all photos from my iphone and reloaded, but still nothing.
