IMessage and international texting on Verizon?
I have an iPhone and Verizon wireless as my service provider and live in the US. I understand that it cost more money to text an international number, IE. My friend that lives in Germany, but he has an iPhone as well so it's iMessage. Does that still apply as International text messaging?

IMessage is OK for international Wi-Fi text communication. Whatsapp is better.
No its not an international texting. It is counted in your data usage. You can also make free international calls using Viber app. Not sure whether you can download it on iphone. But i use it on android phone.
- What is a good international texting app? My girlfriend of over a year is studying abroad in Spain for the next7 months. Right now we're using Vapor and it's alright but I was wondering if anyone had any other good suggestions. I need something that is completely free with no hidden charges. - Verizon-no unlimited-will texting a iTouch with iMessage cost me? I'm So CONFUSED… i have the iPhone 4 on Verizon and i use iMessage and regular SMS. I have no unlimited texting WHICH MEANS i can text any Verizon phone for free but if i text any other carrier it is pulled into my 500 count. SO if i text an iPod Touch user that uses iMessage will it get pulled into my 500 count? Cuz the iPod Touches don't have a carrier… So i don't know what to think.
- Limited texting and imessage? Okay so i have an iphone. And i have limited texting. Only 100 a month. Does that still apply to imessage? In other words, if i text friends that have an iphone and have imessage, does it still count in the 100 texts?
