International SIM card for iPhone 5?
I know my network would still work when I'm out of the country, but because I'm traveling to London next month, would I purchase an international sim over there to avoid extra charges? If so where would I purchase one and do they install it into my iPhone 5? I have tmobile by the way.

Actually it likely would not work. You assume it would because of the fact there's a T-Mobile there & in the US. You would be roaming which brings heavy charges.
Also, it would only work if your phone is unlocked in order to accept other carrier SIMs (yes again despite the same name both T-Mobiles are different carriers)
I hope that you are going to have a great trip to UK, London. As a frequent traveller I always had problem with roaming sim cards, the best solution that I found is to combine a VOIP application (like skype or Rebtel) when Wi-Fi is available (but be careful VOIP calling quality is sometimes very low) with an international sim card. The one that I use (it has the cheapest rates that I found) is MySims2Go, and is a UK based company so it has really low roaming costs from UK.

- How to use an old iphone with international sim card? I'm going to be studying abroad in Ireland from January through May of this year. I just got a new iphone 8 last week and I still have my old iphone 6. I was planning on keeping my iphone 6 so I can use an international sim to get phone calls, data, etc. Since I've already activated my new phone and taken my old phone off the account, will I need to call verizon and have them unlock my old one(iphone 6)?
