IOS 7 iPhone 4 Control Center not working?
I have an iPhone 4 and just downloaded iOS 7 yesterday and I noticed earlier today that the control center function has not been working very well. Occasionally it will pop up but 9 times out of 10 it won't, and I have to restart my phone and then try it again, it'll work once and then I'll have to restart again. This also applies to notification center, which I don't care as much about, but this is extremely annoying because I believe control center is the best feature of iOS 7 and it does not work well. I'm thinking something went wrong during the installation process… What are your ideas? Is anyone else having this problem? If so, did you fix it, and if you did, how?
I have found that the only reliable place to swipe is on the very left of the bottom of the screen to the left of the first toolbar icon (if I try to swipe up from the centre nothing happens). Give it a try.
I had the same experience with my iphone 5. I got the Control Center to pop up once out of about 50 tries. I completely reset my phone and reinstalled everything from my backup. Control Center still would not pop up. I finally realized that my Ballistic Case was not allowing me to touch the bottom of the screen. When I removed the case the Control Center worked perfectly. Not sure if you have a case but if so, try taking it off.
Agreed. I was also having the same problem with my iPhone 4 until I removed the heavy duty phone phone/screen protector. Apparently the Control Center swipe MUST start from off the screen area in an upward direction.iOS 7 can't recognize the placement of your finger ON the screen and swiping, it has to be a motion coming from the bottom of the screen upward.
Well, I just pulled down on the rubber case and started the upswipe below the screen and continued upwards. Works every time now.
My iPhone 6s only has the music at the bottom of the screen when I swipe up that is what comes up. Not the control center. Happens quite often. Why?
I just figured out what to do when music control comes up when swipe from bottom of iPhone 6s. You have to swipe it sideways. Wala there's the control center!
- Volume control and microphone not working on iphone? I have an iphone 4 & my volume control and microphone is useless on my iphone, it works fine on my ipad but only the music works on my iphone. Is it something wrong with my headphones or is it just that after the major updates iphone doesn't recognize it anymore?
- My control center on my iPhone 5 isn't transparent with iOS 7? Also my notification center is black. I know the iPhone 4's are grey and white but the iPhone 5 is supposed to be transparent. What do I do?
- My control center doesn't have the 3D look? I got the iOS 7 yesterday and unlike what I've seen on the commercials, whenever I use my notification centre or control center, it doesn't have that "3D" look where it shows the colour that is used on the background. It's just one plain colour (grey for control center and black for notification centre). I have an iPhone 4 though. Any idea how I can change it so it has a better graphic?
- Music won't play on iphone5 ios7 via control center? Anyone else having this problem? I'll pull up my control center when my phone is unlocked and push the "play" button and nothing plays? Even when it shows a title of the song there, it still won't play! I have to actually go into the music app and play it which gets very annoying. Same goes when my phone is locked and listening to music, the skip button via the control center won't work.
