IPhone 4 ios 6.1 update problem, stuck rebooting every 5 sec?

This morning I tried to update my iphone 4 to ios 6.1 straight from the phone. It started loading the bar for a while, then it shut down. Now it keeps booting for about 5 seconds and shutting off, repeatedly. My home button is broken so I can't hold it down along with the sleep button. Have tried plugging it into my laptop, nothing. Help?
DFU mode can't be entered because of no home button and no real connection to my macbook.

Added (1). There's no apple store where I live, and I really don't see what I could do.

Firstly, get that home button repaired at a repair shop.
Then just hold both buttons until recovery mode comes on.plug in your iphone to macbook and go to http://www.felixbruns.de/iPod/firmware/ click on iphone and scroll down and choose iphone 4 ios 6.1
then down load it and wait until its done.once its done go to itunes and go to your phone.option click restore iphone then select the iphone 4 6.1 ipsw. Then it will restore to ios 6.1.

btw, you don't need dfu mode for updating.u only need that for hack things.
recovery mode is the itunes logo and plug in sign on your phone.
dfu mode is black
if you are updating in the future, do it this way. You don't need to go into any mode just option click restore then select that ipsw.

I had the same problem… I replaced the battery (5$ on eBay ) and all is ok now, this is happening because iOS 6.1 has a annoying bug… Kill iphone's battery life. Try it and say if it works
