Iphone 4 is broken! Possible water damage?
My phone came in contact with a little bit of water and heat, it was acting funny (it kept switching to the power off screen and the power button on the top stopped working) so i took off the case and sure enough there was a little water there. Once is flickered to the switch off screen i turned it off hoping it just needed a restart and it won't turn on! I put it in a bag of rice 3 hours ago and still nothing, any ideas?
There's really no hope, it all depends on how long the water was there. If you got it from bestbuy you can take it back and get a new one! That's what I have done 17 times so far…
Air it out somehow… Blowdriers can't help that much but try canned (compressed) air and air out the headphone jack and speakers and stuff. I had a phone that took a month to turn back on. I would leave it sitting and charging after you air it out and check on it periodically.
- Possible water damage on iPhone 5s? Ok so I went hiking and I didn't have pockets, so I put my phone on my side between my shorts and skin. The hike was difficult so I ended up sweating and I totally forgot my phone was on my side instead of my backpack. As gross and stupid as it may sound, I think my phone has possible water damage from my sweat. However, the screen is still responsive and fine yet the home button does not work when I press it. However the fingerprint scan still works. Will putting it in rice help?
- Possible to fix side damage on iPhone? I once put my phone on my jacket on the basketball court, then when picked up the jacket my phone flew and landed on the concrete, bouncing several times. When I picked it up the screen was gone and the camera and everything else worked fine. But there was a huge chipped part on the top of my phone, right next to the power button. There was a huge crack on it. Is it possible to fix it at all?
- Possible iPhone water damage? I knocked a can of Dr Pepper onto my iPhone and it mainly went onto my screen however some of the liquid might have somehow got into my charging hole or earphone jack. It's being about 5 minutes and my phone is fine, however should i take any precautions like putting it in rice just incase? Or because it's fine should I leave it?
- Possible iphone 5s water damage? Alright so i put my phone (speaker/outlet thing down) into a cupholder today and there was water in the bottom of it and now my phone turns off and won't turn back on any time i hit the sleep/lock button. Does this sound like water damage? If it does, do you know how i can fix it/dry it out? If it doesn't, do you know what might be wrong with it?
