IPhone 4 power button stuck? - 2

Okay so a few months ago a friend gave me an old iPhone 4 that she had and didn't use anymore. No cracks, nothing wrong with it & it was almost brand new. A few days ago I was on it turned it off and went back on it 5 minutes later and the power button wasn't working. At first if I pushed it hard enough or in a certain area I could get it to turn on but now it won't work at all. I looked it up and see a lot of people have been having the problem. The phone she gave me is a Verizon phone and I have T-Mobile which uses sim cards so I only use it over Wi-Fi and I don't have service on it so I can't take it to the store to replace it. Would Apple replace it or is there anything I could do? To turn it on i've just been using the home button and to lock it and to screenshot i've been using the Assistive Touch.

No, Apple will not replace it if it is not still under warranty.
You can check at the link below.

  • Power button on my iphone 4 is stuck. How can I turn it on? So the power button broke a while back and I've just left it on, but I found it turned off on my bed earlier. How can I turn it on? Warranty is over so give me anything. (Plugging it in gets no response)
  • Power button on iPhone 4s stuck down? My iPhone power button is suddenly stuck in the down position and I can barely even get it to work even when pressing down really hard. It is a Verizon phone, I've only had it for 6 months and i have insurance on it. If I take it to Verizon will they just replace it if they can't fix it or will they tell me to take it to an apple store?
  • My iPhone power button is stuck and I have a full year warranty? Ok, so my iPhones power button has been stuck for awhile now and need to get a new one I still have my warranty but can't find the paper with all my contract stuff the day I got my iPhone can he look at like a serial number or something on my phone that shows I still have my warranty?
  • My iphone power button got stuck and a day later it died completely? The button was a little sticky and could still work, but then i could not even press it down at all and would have to wait for it to shut off after a minute like it normally does after being inactive. Then on my way to an apple store to get it fixed, the iphone died when i pressed the pause button on my headphones. I tried plugging it into a charger but it is unresponsive.
