IPhone 4 stuck searching for signal?
I randomly checked my phone today and saw it was searching for a signal. And it had been searching for hours. I reset it, doing both a hard and soft reset. Took out the sim card and reinserted it. Turned on airplane mode for about a minute. Reset network settings. Nothing works. I've been trying to update to iOS 8.1 to see if that would work, but it says "unable to install update." I really don't want to have to restore my phone for the 4th time. How do I fix this?
IPhone 4 won't be able to install iOS 8.1 for hardware limitation. So your fix now is restoring the phone on iTunes.
- Why is my iPhone 5c stuck on 'searching'? Since about 12 yesterday my phone has been stuck with 'searching' and nothing else. I've tried everything from power button reset to full factory reset, including every fix that I've seen on the Internet. There's also nothing wrong with my network in my area. So what's wrong with it?
- Stuck iPhone 4 lock button! Stuck/Stripped screws Okay so, I've had this stupid panda case on my phone and it jammed my lock button. It still works if you push super hard from the side, but no clicking sound. I saw how to fix it by opening my phone up but the screws won't come out no matter what! I tried a screwdriver alone, with duct tape, rubber band, double sided tape, everything! I don't have a warranty on my phone, and I'm looking for a super inexpensive (>$5) way to fix it, any ideas?
- Sprint Iphone 4 goes from 5 bars to No service and Searching? I called sprint and they tried everything on their end and told me to reset the network settings, even resetting the entire phone, and nothing helped. I read somewhere that the antenna is touchy on these phones and wearing a case may help? I would like to hear any fixes and if anyone else has had these issues. It worked completely fine the first day I had it and then it just started losing service for no reason.
- Searching.after IOS 6 iPhone Update - Lost Signal completely? Have just updated my iPhone 4S to IOS 6, and now have lost my network completely. Instead of Orange i now have "Searching… ". I have gone to settings > general > reset > reset network settings and also "reset all settings", still nothing… Anyone else experienced this?
