Iphone 4 update to ios 7 problem?
My iphone 4 has 812 MB available. It is currently in version 6.1.3, and I would like to update it to ios7. However, my PC has to update the itunes before it can update the iphone. I went through everything (the sync, backup, etc.) and began the update for itunes, but when I check the status of the update, it shows that there has been no progress. I have a good internet connection, and the PC is plugged in… Any info or tips on how to make the update function faster is GREATLY appreciated!
Try it on your phone and if that doesn't work try again then ask apple.
You can update it to IOS 7 from just your iPhone by going to settings, then General, then software updates and then the update should be there.

- Update stopped during ios update own iphone now phones broke I connected my iPhone 4 to my computer (iTunes) and started doing the update through iTunes. About five minutes into the update iTunes in my computer stops working, causing the update to of course stop working. Now my phone will not turn on. On the screen it is black with the 'charge symbol' as if it were low on battery and an iTunes symbol. I have tried turning my phone off and on, but of course it didn't respond.

It started to download but then about less than halfway it tells me that an error has occurred and it won't let me finish downloading it! I don't know if it could just be a bug since it did become avaible about an hour ago or what.

I have an iPhone 5, and I download these 2 files: iPhone5, 1_7.0_11A4372q_Restore.ipsw iPhone5, 2_7.0_11A4372q_Restore.ipsw Whenever I hold shift (on a PC) and click check for update, I select either file, and for both I get an error message saying: "The iPhone ___ could not be updated because the firmware file is not compatible my iPhone is 6.1.4, it's restored, my iTunes is up to date. What do I do!
- Problem trying to update iOS 7 Beta? - 1 I'm having some trouble installing iOS 7 unofficial beta there was a leak and I've done this before but for some reason this time I'm getting an error saying The iPhone ___ could not be updated because the firmware file is not compatible. I don't understand why this is happening someone please help. (I do have a developers account but that doesn't work either.
