Iphone 4s Wi-Fi keeps disconnecting?

So ever since i upgraded to iOS 6.0.1, the Wi-Fi i connect to would disconnect every 5 or so minutes. It has nothing to do with the Wi-Fi itself as i have tried it with other Wi-Fi connections. How do i fix this? Its really frustrating having to reconnect every single time.

You may want to try one of the following options (in order from least to most critical):

1) Restart the Phone.
>>Press and hold the sleep button (top right) until a slider appears that says to Slide to Turn Off/Shut Down. Do so.
>>Give a few seconds after it turns off and turn on the iPhone again. See if it works.

2) Reset Settings
>> Go to Settings -> General -> Reset -> Reset Network Settings. This will wipe out any stored network connection settings, having to do a re-connection sequence. This would usually guarantee a fix if (1) didn't. Still didn't work?

3) Reset the Software Installation
>>Done through iTunes, you pretty much reset your iPhone to factory settings and would require to re-install iOS 6.0.1 from scratch. While this does erase everything you have not backed up on your phone, it guarantees a fresh install, and should fix your problem.

4) Apple Store
Worst comes worst, maybe the hardware of your phone is busted. Perhaps the Wi-Fi antenna no longer began to work properly. Your best bet is to make a genius appointment and figure out what is the problem with the device.

I have the same problem, it seem that Wi-Fi disconects when is uses a lot of internet (like downloading or netflix).
i have a fresh install but it still doesn't work.

  • Internet on my iphone keeps disconnecting? Okay so i have the iphone 3g (yes, i know it's old, please don't remind me) and everytime i use it i clearly have internet. The only problem is after about a minute my internet shuts down, this happens every single time. I can't use the phone more than a minute without my internet shutting down, most times it just says "no service" on the top… Which is crazy… Any help will be appreciated.

It will stay connected to Wi-Fi for a little bit then it will disconnect form Wi-Fi all by its self and sometimes it will stay connected to Wi-Fi for a long time then disconnect. Just about ever since then, my iPhone barely connects to my home Wi-Fi, when it does, it's very slow, and it only lasts for less than a minute at a time before disconnecting again. Yes, for those of you that give the thick headed answers, I obviously entered the password to my network onto the phone.
