IPhone 5 bluetooth not working?

I don't know if this is the proper terminology but it seems the bluetooth signal is always really weak? I've tried pairing my phone with numerous things such as my car, portable speakers and sometimes (very rarely) the device i'm trying to pair my phone with will show up on my phone in the list of devices. So I know these devices are discoverable. But when I try to pair them, it always says it fails. And like I said, it's very rare for the device to even show up in my iphone bluetooth settings. Most of the time it can't even find the device.

The only device that always shows up in my bluetooth settings is my macbook but i haven't managed to successfully pair that with my iphone either.

And I'm getting really frustrated this is so annoying!

Oh and this was an issue both before and after iOS 7

Sorry to say this pal, iPhone bluetooth can be connected only with Apple products. For example, iPhone to iPhone, iPhone to Mac, etc. And not to any other devices

I had another answer typed up and I was about to send it but then I noticed that you said it was a problem before and after the iOS 7 update, so that kinda changed things.

I think that the best thing I can do to help is tell you how to get the article that is used to troubleshoot blue tooth issues. Obviously we have a more detailed one if you were to actually call us for support but there's a version of the article available to the public. I forget what the title of it is but the article number is TS3018. Go to our support site and in the top right corner there's a search bar. Just type that number into the search bar and it will pull the article up. If you try what is on that article and it does not work, and if your phone is less than a year old, give us a call at 18006927753 and ask to be transferred to iOS and we can just replace the phone for you.
